I have never been to an event--outside a church service--where they sang the second verse to the National Anthem. I actually like the second verse of the National Anthem better than the first
We should end the confusion of the whole thing and sing both stanzas of the Alma Mater. It would only take one more minute and it would ensure that all the students learned all the words. I honestly couldn't sing the Alma Mater because I get confused as to the words.
