Alley Broussard should start. It is obvious!

The only reason that Addai and Carey beat out Vincent and Broussard was inexperience. The freshman now know the system. And they are more complete backs.

And I say that the main reason the looked like complete backs in this game is because the O-line beat the living crud out of the USC D-line. Let any back get to the secondary untouched and good things will happen. I think that Addai and Carey are just as complete when they are healthy (though Addai has shown a tendancy to miss the obvious hole) and the coaches have agreed up to this point. Now this playing time might be just what the coaches need to promote these guys to first team. I don't know. Maybe they showed something that they did not in practice. It is fun to get excited about 3rd, 4th, and 5th stringers when they do well, but let the coaches decide. I trust them.

IMH, I have seen flashes from all 5 backs to make me think that we could beat anyone in the country if the O-line man handles the D-line like in the USC game. Doesn't matter who is back there. Now if the line reverts back to old form, I go back to the Carey/Addai pair. If Carey or Addai get hurt or stink it up, you have the excuse to go to the quick hook and put in Vincent to replace Carey or put in Broussard to replace Addai. That is my opinion. All that is moot of course. Addai won't be back for this critical game and the entire dynamics of "who will run the ball for LSU" will change after this game. Hopefully they will repeat their performances of the USC game and muddle the whole thing up. :)

Quite simply, Broussard is the only one who adds the tackle-breaking ability, which will be so crucial in the Auburn game to break open our ground game.

Vincent and Carey are very good instinctive runners. Vincent has a brighter future than Carey, because of his size and his instinct is better.

Addai has shown nothing in two seasons of hype. Maybe, he should be moved to WR ala Reed.

Edwards is a talented RB with a bright future, but he cannot break tackles like Broussard and his cut-backs have not been up to the level of Vincent. And, he doesn't hit the hole quite like Carey.

    1. Broussard
    2. Vincent and Carey
    3. Edwards
    4. Addai
