come on guys, you should all know that the best coach ever by far to sit on the LSU bench was..........Tex Winter. He invinted the triangle offense for the Bulls. He would be my coach hands down.
lctiger, Surely you jest about Tex, LSU used the triangle offense in the 70's long before Tex ever came to LSU. On the 1980-81 team we used the same two sided triangle offense you see on Tex's page here: http://www.bbhighway.com/Talk/Coaching_Box/Clinics/Triangle/triangle_intro.asp On Dale Brown's show in the late 70's and 80 you would have heard him talk about the triangle offense and that was years before Tex got there. On the 1980-81 team the base was Ethan who lined up on one side of the triangle offense with Macklin at low post and Hi C at the cornor spot with Mac sometime posted up at high post. We wanted E at the wing spot.
