What same things? Be specific. Item by item. If you want to debate with Reid, then do so. If you want to debate with me, then address my comments. I'm not going to be Reid for you. My feelings are much closer to David Petraeus than Reid's. We already won the war in Iraq. What's left is an occupation and political nation-building fiasco that has been a dismal failure for almost 6 years. It's not over by a long shot.
A wild guess, it sounds like, got some actual evidence of this? No, the reason is found in the demographics of the military, most of whom are under 25 years old. The youth is turning out in this election like never before and they are turning out for Obama. But also pay attention to the retired generals who are able to speak their political minds. They have harshly criticised the Republican administration for its handling of the wars and many were fired because of it. The new Woodward book documents the increasingly tense relationship between the military men and the administration civilians in the Pentagon. The military feels that it was badly used by republican officials in the Iraqi affair. They are deeply suspicious of more of the same. A change at the top is something the generals would like to see right now.
