Wise words and very true. I still think that Hilliard is the best overall back on the team (and conference, really). It's just that Blue had come on so strong this year, I was really eager to see what he would do.
What I said was the word going around from a few different people and they are not always right. Miles made it sound more like a temporary thing and might only be out a few weeks. I will find out tomorrow what is going on with it. Getting some others coming out and saying he is not done for the season.
Magee was moved due to logjam at RB. He can be moved back if needed. Remember in the last game, Shep played a little RB. Hill was brought in last game, looks like his carries will get added. They have a bunch of options at RB. This is one of the deeper positions, if not the deepest, on the team. Hill will not take a Red-Shirt this year, some were asking about this, hes ready to play. He has lost a few pounds and looks to be running well. May get a few more carries this week and next.
I sure hope he's able to return, we're going to need him down the stretch. Our blessing is we shouldn't need him for the next two weeks so he'll have plenty of time to recover if it's not a serious injury.
According to today's Dandy Don report: As most of you know, Alfred Blue suffered an injury in the first half against Idaho and later exited the field on crutches. Coach Miles called the injury a “contusion” (bruise) and said it will probably be a couple of weeks before he’s back. Hopefully this is all it is, and he'll back when we get into the thick of the SEC schedule.
On a positive note Daddy Miles says he expects to have Ware back along with Hill in the rotation.... http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/3922390-123/lsu-rb-alfred-blue-likely
I hope Blue's injury is not serious. It does look like the injury bug is biting us hard this season. That could make a big difference down the stretch.
Miles said he wont be back next week, maybe in a couple of weeks. But the rumor was going that he tore his acl. Glad that isnt the truth.
