Jimbo told him that he was goign to be the only qb in the class... thats why he committed so early.. now with LSU courting Tebow, the kid felt like he was getting screwed..
Re: Alex Cate Decoms I really am not surprised and kinda expected it. I thought it was kinda strange when he originally commited to us with what we have in our QB rotation above him. With Russell, and if RP is anything like he's hyped to be, Cate wouldn't see the field for years, if at all.

Re: Alex Cate Decoms Whose to say that RP doesn't tear a hammy or end up with a Prothro leg? Then where are we... we lose Flynn with JR.... Cate is a big loss, i don't care if his career would have been a Matt Flynn, thats one thing Saban always kept... a full cupboard at every position.
If that is really why, then he can have fun losing at OSU, b/c we don't need him... If he isn't the "ONE AND ONLY" and isn't 100% the showcase in our recruiting class he will leave? Yeah, that isn't the attitude I want... Especially not from a 3 star QB

Re: Alex Cate Decoms Just reaffirms what i fear... the talent level of players that we are recruiting is dropping drastically already. We won a NC 2 years ago, 5 stars should be beating down the door to come here, yet all we have is a couple 4 stars, and no bigtime OL men.
Re: Alex Cate Decoms I know nothing about this guy, but he watched LSU beat Florida, Bama, and Auburn... Florida and Bama being his 2 choices other than us, so I don't see why everyone totally thinks this is so far fetched...
