Hit his 21st homer tonight, on pace for roughly 35 this season. Leads the team in RBIs. Plays a stellar 3rd base on top of that with highlight reel plays as much as any 3rd baseman in the majors. I think he's going to be a perennial .300 hitter with a ceiling of an Altuve type hitting machine. Last half of last year he batted nearly .330 and after a slow start this season, he's been batting over .300.
He went something like 0 for 11 or 12 in the first 3 games after the all star break but tonight he broke out of the mini slump.
Vastly improved OBP and SLG from last year. Already more walks this year than in last year's full season. BA doesn't matter, but you know that....I hope. And he already has something that Mike Trout would kill for: signature postseason moments (with more to come) and a ring.
Mike Trout should be one of the faces of baseball but he could wald down main street of almost any city and nobody would recognise him. It's not his fault he llays for a bad team. Ine player can't turn around a team. It's not basketball.
I don't really remember him being a power hitter at LSU. How is it that he all of the sudden is a bopper in MLB? Legit question and no, I'm not implying PEDs at all. I just don't follow MLB as closely as I did when I was younger.
