just to make things clear, it is a suspension without pay. Regardless, he shouldn't be playing the rest of the year.
Personally I would have preferred to see him get suspended for the remainder of the season. Upshaw and the NFLPA would have fought it and probably won in aribration. Even though Upshaw said he will appeal the 5 game suspension I think it will stand. It cost him almost half a million in salary.
