I think you mean Garrett. Lol. I get that, though. JD took a few games to mesh with some of the play makers on the team. We had some real opponents early in our schedule instead of teams that are more akin to scrimmage partners.
I was impatient with JD myself and I should have given the young man a chance. New culture, new coaches, new teammates so I guess he was doing what was comfortable. His holding the ball was driving me crazy but it has seem to click for him and no one is happier than me. He looks solid now and I hope he keeps playing like this because he is a weapon.
Winning our regular season is possible, but I’m not ready to pencil it in yet. Next challenge for Kelly is keeping us focused. Feels like we’re pretty mature on both sides of the ball, despite freshmen playing key roles at several positions.
