My bad for not fact checking the Bama poster; in my defense, I claim the persistent euphoria attributable to last night's festivities!
You're not wrong, Herb. My concern, though, will be Nick Saban, vigorously "hatching plots & mischief from a safe distance," (to quote J.R.R. Tolkien). How many times have we seen NS out there doing the impossible?
1. Perple brought up something about Fauci. I detest when people inject politics into sports discussions so I may have been a tad aggressive in my reply - which triggered others to jump in. (Mild) Apologies for any part I had. 2. SabanFan.
I wouldn't mind a tired, beatable Saban to cling to his ego for a few more years. We can screw him again for as long as he's around.
It ain't you. It's the inbred Gump fans that are factually compromised by virtue of having family tap roots instead of family trees.
As long as we win out our last 2 conference games (R-Kansas and TAMU), our "floor" is the Sugar Bowl. Our "ceiling" is a possible playoff selection if the planets all align and we beat UGA in the SEC CG. If after the FSU game someone told me we'd have about an 80% chance to make it to a 'New Years Six' bowl, I'd have told them they were nuts. I'm loving this.
IMO, your reply wasn't aggressive. There is another section on this website to discuss politics, and it's not the game thread.
He seems like the type who wouldn't know when his time has come to hang it up. He does look tired these days.
