  6. Now you see, that is a good quality bourbon. I can appreciate that. Buffalo Trace (same distillery that produces Blanton's) just about any of the four roses lineup (never had a bad one) Russels reserve, Michters the list goes on and on. The point is there are far too many really good and affordable bourbons to drink shit that runs out of a gutter namely anything that starts with Jim or Jack! Its just terrible stuff.

  7. Beam white label is what it is, cheap. For a lil more I stick with Makers then skip all the Jacks (too much char) and move right into Beam small batch which are pretty damn good and diverse.

  8. one of the joys of living in central Kentucky is proximity to all of the distilleries…. the Ky bourbon trail is fun to do and then they have the urban bourbon trail…..

  10. Basil Haydens is trash. Knob Creek is pretty good stuff, Bookers is great but damnit it is hot! At least the last one I tried was and at ~ $80 - $120 a bottle I'd put it outside of the "casual drinker" category.
