That seems unlikely, doesn't it, BT? In fact, it has occured to me that the ongoing Saban Rumor saga is great cover for going after other coaches very covertly--coaches that can't afford to alienate their home fans.

    Ain't that the truth!

John Henderson is a very good writer. He's written a couple of favorable LSU articles.

Well maybe you should have those 9 years of 2-and 10 games and lesrn to enjoy a 6 win season Thank you for your heart felt reply , and yes Jerry was a good Coach , He was a good coach at Vandy ! By the way Mike is a good Coach . And anyone who knows SEC football knows that this Bama team is a good team ! Two or three players away from being the strong Bama team that you want it to be ,. Ye I do feel your pain !! GEAUX TIGERS !!!

I think the next coach will prove what I have just typed , Hell ,the only thing that I know how to do is how to restring a flat top guitar , but I could be the head coach at Bama next year and might even take the SEC west ! I have cousins all over The Bama Nation and they are telling me "Just wait ", They think the Tide Machine is Ready to Roll . Yes I do feel your pain !! BUt GEAUX TIGERS !!! You may never get another "Bear " but , you will have another team , you are close now !! Tell me I am wrong , go ahead ."The Bear" would tell me that ! Trouble with us in the SEC is that we all want to win , we all are good , even Vandy , we hate like Hell to lose !! And we as fans do not mind cheating to win ,

Legs seem to be gettin' longer on this one. Some Green guy on espn radio said that two assistants of the phins stated that Saban is gone. Quoted CNS as saying the Bama job is his dream job.

The Miami job was his dream job. You guys tired of discussing this on the bama boards?

Now I know this is a bullchit source. Nick doesn't talk like that for one thing. Also Baton Rouge, and Miami were never "home" for Nick and neither is Tuscaloosa. Before he came to LSU all of Nick's high school, college, and NFL experience has been in Ohio or adjoining states. The Ohio are is home for Nick and his dream job (if he has one) is Ohio State, where he was an assistant coach, once.

Well, that job ain't open yet, but when it is, Nick will go after it hard, whether he is at Miami or Bama. If Bama lands Nick it will just be another stepping stone for him, not his "dream job".
