Their first 5 games looked a lot like ours. They played the Old Missus, we played Vanderbilt. Texas has one of the worst defenses in the country at #118 out of 130 listed. How many good Away teams have we played this year? Auburn got 15 penalties, and we benefitted from that home cooking. Bama's going to be a lot tougher than Bama-lite. And were playing in their house. Don't know if we can beat them. Watch both lines of scrimmage. I believe that will ulitimately decide the game. Should be a good game though.

You’ve neglected how good Texas’s offense was when we played them. And as many penalties as we benefitted from, we were shafted by the same number. Also the weather and a bizarre defensive game plan compounded our offensive struggles. Bama’s opponents are sub-.500. We can 100% beat them. It just depends on what versions of LSU and Alabama show up Saturday.
Weather & bizarre defense? Both teams play in "Weather" & Texas has no defense. Not sure what you are trying to say. Notice how nobody brags about beating Texas? They are a 5-3 team. Never were Top 10, Top 15 team, early polls aint worth a shite. As for what LSU team shows up, that's how we differ from Bama. Bama brings the same game every week, regardless of who they play. They aren't streaky. Can we out pass them for a win? Maybe, maybe not.
This is why I like this forum. I'm going to start a thread with you on this. Everyone will jump in but let's talk football.
Not sure how just looking at the first five games makes sense. But Jeff Sagarin updates his strength of schedule weekly as opposed to all that before the season BS. FWIW, his latest rankings has LSU's schedule as 34th toughest and Bama's as 59th.
I don't disagree at all. I know many were disappointed with the 1st half of the season, as far as the number of creampuff teams. But we have a much stronger back loaded schdule. Bama has been the same way this year.
