Ahhhh. The sweet ignorance of youth. You'll learn in time. You cannot holler and make the bad man go away.

Ok, Many would argue that the Democrats and the Clintons are doing a pretty good job of destroying the country.
They would rather destroy dubya even if it means the destruction of their own country.

We had a foreign policy 5 years ago?
I see, let Al Quada attack and kill Americans and do nothing about it.
Sandy Burger may be going to jail in his role for coverup of the Clinton Administration for stealing papers from a classified building.

The Feds didn't abide by the constitution 5 years ago nor did the Judiciary.
Waco, Ruby Ridge, Elian Gonzalez, the judiciary made a ruling and the Clinton
justice department went in there anyway, ignored it and invaded an American
    citizens house.

Then you have the judiciary ignoring orders by congress and overturning the
people voting in states to decline gay marriage.
So much for the people's Democracy.

Btw, I don't think that article was done in good faith, I think people are out
to destroy George Bush because of the hate that is in our society today.
Even if it means destroying their own country! :dis:

Just like in Rathergate, they teach you in journalism school that you have to have at least 2 or 3 sources before running with a story.
If what you said about #2 was true then they would've learned after Rathergate not to mention the 2000 election.

I truly hope that Newsweek pays a high price for this, this was worse than Rathergate because it cost people's lives.

Elaborate. How are the democrats destroying the country? If I recall correctly, they hold no power over legislature or the White House. So what then, is it that they are doing that is destoying us so badly, besides having different views than you?

That's right. Five years ago we were not actively alienating long-time allies of ours.

    Touche! But now it's legal.

Ok, first of all, they have the power to do that. It's not illegal (obviously). Congress cannot 'order' judges to rule certain ways. Otherwise, what would be the point of having court proceedings?

Second, America is not a democracy. We are a constitutional republic. Yes, our election processes are democratic. But if we were a true democracy, Al Gore would have been in the Oval Office for the past four years.

Yeah, you mentioned something about that. Poooor little georgey.

Really, you would think so. But bear in mind we're not talking about the sharpest group of individuals here.

You made an accusation about people saying that dubya is destroying the country and I countered that argument.
Thats right, It depends on your viewpoint.

    Alienating long time allies?
Who, The French and Germans, Russians?
No thinks with allies like these who needs them?

Go read all about the Iraqi Oil for Food scandal.
I'm becoming an Isolationist like Pat Buchanon, lets finish the job overseas, bring
the troops home and secure our borders.
To hell with the world until the next Hitler comes along.

Congress didn't order judges to rule certain ways, they ordered for the case to be reviewed of which it was not.
Three hours or whatever it was wasn't enough time to review that entire case.

Yes, we live in a constitutional republic but I wasn't aware that gave the judges permission to overrule the voters decisions in cases like this.

    Sharpest individuals?
I think you are right, can't be too smart to make up stories that damage themselves
    and their country.
How would you feel if we had another attack against us like 9/11, the reasoning behind
it was a made up story about destroying the Koran?

If there is going to be another attack on us, it won't be because of what some journalist said. Trust, they currently possess that desire, but lack the ability.

I'm totally with ya on the isolationist bit. We seem to create more trouble than we solve.

Btw, high courts have the ability, and frequently do, challenge the legitmacy of certain laws. It's our system.

That's 9th grade civics you're misinterpreting there. The judicial branch was created so that it was separate from oversight from either the legislative and executive branches of government. It doesn't answer to either, nor the general public. So when people rant that the judicial branch is out of control, it's not. It's merely doing what our forefathers intended it to.

Yep. And remember how recently, DeLay announced that the administration would 'take a close' look at judiciaries who 'thumbed their noses at congress?' In other words, the judges didn't rule the way that the Republican-controlled legislature wanted them to, so they would be scrutinized for that. Hello?! They are called 'judges' for a reason, and it ain't because they're supposed to be puppets for the White House! What a freaking travesty! This, ladies and gentleman, is a very concrete example of how out of control this administration is. This is a threat to our entire system and should concern ALL U.S. citizens. :cuss:

How about you come up with an original thought and quit repeating what you hear from grownups.

How about you actually try and prove me wrong and quite making childish comments when you disagree with me?

Go ahead and tell me where I stole that one from, I'd like to know.

It's been long since proven that Hitler knew nothing about the Japanese
attack on Pearl Harbor until after the fact.

What did that have to do with us? Aside from a few instances of gunplay between U.S destroyers and German U-Boats, Germany never attacked us.
So, by your reasoning, we shouldn't have gone to war with Hitler, either.
