    Apparently at the time of the conversation Saddam was taking the position that after the Iraq-Iran war.....

    This is no secret.

    Good Lord, man. I've personally talked to three professors in an International Relations program with working experience with the UN located in Vienna, Austria that all confirmed this. They all said it is well known in diplomatic circles that this took place.

    Come on, you know how it works here. You can't just said that "some expert told me".

    If they are professors then what papers have they written this up in. What diplomatic reports indicate this? If it is "well known", then someone is on the record. Find him.

    The 9/11 commission report was a joke:

    Amount of money allocated for the 1986 Challenger disaster investigation: $75 million
    Amount of money allocated for the 2004 Columbia disaster investigation: $50 million
    Amount of money allocated for Clinton-Lewinsky investigation: $40 million
    Amount of money allocated for the 9/11 Commission: $14 million

    So Bush told Saddam to invade Kuwait, at which time his army would promptly get it's collective clock cleaned and he (Saddam) would lose power and prestige and get sanctioned by the international community for decades and Saddam said "Cool George. I'll get right on it".

    Is that what you want me to believe?
