I'd like to see some examples of how Mother Theresa spread misery.

Actually it was Le Duc Tho, the Vietnamese negotiator. Ho Chi Minh died in 1969.

Give me a freakin' break. Mother Theresa? I challenge you to back this tripe up with some evidence. Not religious rants from martin. I'm talking real evidence that Mother Theresa:

    1. Spread misery

    2. Wasn't a healer

    3. Was a fraud

You can't do it and you know it..

she didnt care about cures or medicine so much as she cared about the nobility of suffering. much of the money people worldwide donated to her went to convents and nunneries and whatever, and not actual medicine or research. she thought that suffering was a gift from god, and loved to assemble people so she could watch them suffer, she wasnt particularly interested in ending poverty, rather she loved poverty and wanted to be around the poor and suffering because she thought that it helped her in the eyes of god.

merely assembling wretched miserable people so you can bless them isnt helping anything. and encouraging your backward notions of magical healing only does harm. real solutions come from science and medicine.

mother teresa admitted her real goal was to spread her brand fundamentalism, which is about as bad as it gets. few things hurt the world more.

people come to her and kiss her feet, because they literally think she is a saint, but she has done nothing. she left her people behind and went to california when she needed actual health care beyond waving a cross around and getting filthy and sick people to congregate in squalor so you can oversee their conversion to your religion.

she liked to convert the dying, she didnt heal them, she wasnt a doctor, and she didnt really build real hospitals or fund research. she helped people die as catholics. keep in mind she has millions and millions of dollars given to her by people worldwide, which he she used for her personal gain of spreading her philosophy, not helping people.

she is a sacred cow, you cant call her out, because liek i always say, there is kind of an overwhelming sense of guilt that people get about having a real dialogue about things that whoever has agreed are pious or magical. the pope and mother teresa being great examples.

if you want to help people, you should be like bill gates, use capitalism to generate jobs and wealth. thats the sort of stuff that contributes to eradicating human misery. gates is a billion times better for the earth than mother teresa. so are you and me, because at least we are not actively promoting backward anti-reason where it is needed most.

taking millions upon millions of dollars meant to help people and giving it to the vatican is spreading misery.

i am gonna assume you are kidding here. you are aware that people who actually heal are called doctors, not saints who cast magic spells?

i think she projected an image that the money given to her actually helped raise people out of their situations, but it didnt, it just funded the catholic church and allowed her to spend time with filthy dying people. her financial records are secret, but she must have been doing something with those millions. it certainly wasnt curing people, as she believed that it was god's wil that people suffer.

being a media whore doesnt mean you are a hero.

This is a statement, not evidence. Give us the story, the numbers, etc. Who says she gave it to the Vatican? Strike 1.

She was a nurse, Einstein. You know . . . healers of the sick. Strike 2.

I didn't ask what you thought. I challenged you to prove your allegation that she committed fraud. You didn't.

Strike 3, you're out of here.

    SOurce? Evidence?

    Bullchit. To quote from Wikipedia:

In 1952 the first Home for the Dying was opened in space made available by the City of Calcutta. With the help of Indian officials she converted an abandoned Hindu temple into the Kalighat Home for the Dying, a free hospice for the poor. She renamed Kalighat, the Home of the Pure Heart (Nirmal Hriday). She soon opened a home for those suffering Hansen's disease, commonly known as leprosy, and called it Shanti Nagar (City of Peace). An orphanage followed. The order soon began to attract both recruits and charitable donations, and by the 1960s had opened hospices, orphanages and leper houses all over India. She was one of the first to establish homes for AIDS victims.

Teresa's order started to rapidly grow, with new homes opening all over the globe. The order's first house outside India was in Venezuela, and others followed in Rome and Tanzania, and eventually in many countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe, including Albania.

like i said, she isnt a public company so yu cant investigate her earnings. but there are certainly no mother teresa medical research facilities out there. with all her money, she could have at least made a couple places like the pennington center in baton rouge. but her stated goal was to spread her brand of fundamentalism, not cure anyone.

i can say i am a nurse. i'm not. niether is mother teresa, she is a nun!

frankly i am suprised you are not on my side, i thought it was common knowledge among secular people that mother teresa was a scam artist, using the poor as a facade for her effort to fund the spread of her fundamentalism.

here is a starter article for you.

are you arguing my side? hospices are homes for the dying, not places to cure the sick! a hospice is not a hospital. housing terminal victims for your personal enjoyment isnt curing anyone.

perhaps if mother teresa could have invented a healing device powered by her own smugness she woulda helped out a little.
