You can always look at wrapping tickets. Round trip it to Houston or Atlanta or Vegas. And book another trip out of that destination. You would be surprised how much cheaper it can be if you spend a little bit of time. At this point, even Southwest tickets are $389 each direction. Also check the TAF packages. I overheard a guy indicating they were going to be about $1500 for a 4-night, with air and ground transportation, hotel, bus tours, and game tickets. That's not totally unreasonable when you consider the airline tickets are around 1/3 of that price.
What about Glendale as a place to stay? Looks to be just 8 miles from the Rose Bowl. I found a couple hotels there.
I just talked to my sister who lived in Pasadena for awhile and she recommended that I find a hotel there.
You could look at getting 20+ folk together and doing a charter. You can get estimates on prices from this site. Enough folk on a turbo prop can keep the price down, reduce hotel expense, and could be a lot more fun. http://www.avchart.com/users/quotes/default.asp?chtype=Round Trip
i wonder if when it is officially announced the airlines will rearange their fleet for a week or so to let more people fly. I mean the area (MSY especially) has seen a drastic drop in flights.
hmmm, all the fares seem to be skyrocketing...what is going to happen when its officially announced sunday. i'm waiting for that and i'm sure many others are so they won't have to eat airfare tickets.
Think schools, man. When school is in session, a weeknight at Disney is not that bad. When school is out, every day and night is bad unless it is raining. That's how it works, but do whatever you need to do.
Hey TigerFan, How effective is MTA....thinking about taking the MTA rial lines to the game from Manhatten Beach...
