Just remember, when you do a search, you have the following airports to choose from, so check them: LAX Burbank (BUR) Ontario (ONT) Orange County (John Wayne) (SNA) Long Beach (LGB?) Palm Springs San Diego And you can even fly into Las Vegas, have fun there, and make the 228 mile drive to L.A. or even Phoenix, which is a 6 hour drive on the 10 from the east. Lots of choices. Good luck. BTW, United offers a non-stop from MSY to LAX. Delta is supposed to add one, but I doubt it will be in time. If you fly into any of the other airports listed above, except for maybe Vegas or PHX, expect to have to make a stop somewhere.
No offense, but Burbank sucks, unless you are planning to tour studios. Plus traffic on the 134 sucks. Find a better place to stay. If you have any questions, let me know. I can give you a million recommendations that I think you will be happy with. :thumb:
Disneyland sucks, plus it will be filled with tourists as school is out. If you just want to ride rides, stay on the California Adventure side, but you'd do better heading up to Valencia (Six Flags), or Knotts Berry Farm (Fullerton at the 91 and 5 fwy junctions). There are lots of options. Disney would be last on my list, but if it is a once in a lifetime must do sort of thing, then I understand.
I would just wait to go to Disney World during a Mardi Gras break. No lines at all that time of year and everything is alot cheaper.
yea this will be my first time going to Cali and its high on our list of things to do just because its Disneyland....
Much better. It's more hip. On the beach and in a series of beach communities in L.A. County. I guess it comes down to what you want to do. Is this a "family" vacation involving kids or adult getaway, etc.? Kids love the beach, so do women. A guy can stay anywhere, even in Pasadena where their ain't much to do beyond Colorado Blvd. In all cases, I think it is much better to stay on the beach than in the Valley areas, but it'll all be good no matter what you do. Traffic will suck. That's all you need to know.
I have been to Venice Beach and it is a rare site. Pretty fun but may not want to bring the kids there. They might be scared for life if they saw some of things I witnessed. Example, they have that Gold's Gym on the beach with the chainlink fence. Huge guys in spandex. One guy who thought he was big was just a huge lardass in a thong. He came up to my 80 yr old Grandma and gave her a kiss on the cheek after she freaked out when she saw him. You make the call:hihi:
