    Okay, they spent 328k on a picture of an airplane for a website. The country is in major financial distress and the government has a 1 trillion dollar plus deficit this year. The president has told his cabinet to cut costs where they can, and the fact that we spent 328k on an unnecessary photoshoot is not an issue. I don't understand your confusion. By the way, this is not a dem/repub thing because I know bush did the same. This is a quintessential "bureaucratic spending/out of touch with reality" thing

    Cost became an issue once the taxpayers found out about it. It was a bonehead move on both counts, i.e., scaring the crap out of New Yorkers and spending that much on something that could have been photoshopped just as effectively.
