Obviously you have too much at stake emotionally and maybe financially to keep an un-biased view about the situations at hand. 1. AIG received taxpayer money 2. AIG went on retreat 3. AIG got slapped on wrist 4. AIG had another "conference" yet tried to hide their name. If you do NOTHING wrong why are you hiding? It is those simple points that you fail to get. Whether or not you think AIG is doing great and not squabbling money is your subjective viewpoint that we don't obviously share. And wow what a surprise because we don't share any viewpoints. At what point do you figure out that you are not all knowing? At what point do you figure out that you may be wrong? At what point do you figure out that I could care less if you work AIG and think you know the "insides"?
I'll add one more post to this thread. This place has really gone to the dogs. It use to be fun to debate and see other viewpoints. It seems now people have far to much invested in all of this they get soo worked up. Sad. To that end I'll kindly bow out for a little while and hope it surges down for my next visit. SF I hope the best for you and yours but lets remember your viewpoint doesn't always count for others. I actually hope for your sake that AIG does what is says and turns around.
I would only expect, Rex, that you do a little due diligence before spouting off when you clearly have no facts to back up your assertions. Give me something concrete and I'll respond. You are merely reading headlines and parroting them with faux outrage. I don't need your "best wishes". No matter what happens to my company, I am sufficiently protected and will not be out on the street. I've given many years to AIG and I will not sit back and let ignorant cretins attempt to besmirch the name with ill informed accusations. Go away. FSA will be better off without your kind.
If they do please show me some examples, because I think they lean a little to the right in some of their reporting. Maybe you see it a different way, but some backup would help.
I'm very sorry, my lord, I didn't recognize you. Your uncanny impression of a naive, somewhat gullible gadfly was quite convincing. May I get you another gin?
For the few of you who might be interested in the truth, here's the text of a letter sent to the owner of ABC News by the AIG CEO:
Rex leaves because of the posts made about AIG/bailout/conferences. To me, this is the greatest thread ever. I congratulate you all. :thumb:
