1. Contrary to popular sentiment wanting Saban to leave, I hope he stays. I like the intensity of the rivalry it creates. I like how his presence puts constant pressure on the rest of the conference to raise their level of competition. I think the conference and CFB is better with him here.

I'd rather beat Bama with Saban than without. Much more satisfying. I would prefer crushing the lofty arrogance of the Gumps than beating them with a worse coach and lowered expectations.

    Starting with tonight.

Can I get an Amen and a GEAUX TIGERS!!?
  2. I'm also the guy that doesn't like all the whining and chatter about scheduling. I'd rather play the toughest schedule against the best teams year in and year out. Let other teams take the easy road.

  3. Bama's on target to get their 3-peat doing exactly that, miraculously avoiding the 3 toughest cross-divisional teams in the process thanks to the scheduling gods in the oh-so-impartial SEC office. It does have a big effect. Ask UGA fans.

  4. I agree. The whining is too much. Stop being Jonathan Martin. And yes bama with Saban brings out our best. Without him, we'd not know how good we can be once a year. We'd just look like Oklahoma.

  5. Pointing out a fact isn't whining, no one is walking out. One of these days that pansy scheduling is gonna snake bite em. Maybe it will be tonight. Geaux Tigers....

  6. They do play in the sec however. And beat us on occasion. So yeah it's whining. Wouldn't hear a peep if we beat them. Just take care of them on the field. Excuses don't help.
  7. Nah it would still be pointed out, and we are the only team that does beat them so I'm not sure where this insinuation that there is some envy is coming from. Their schedule is a fucking joke, it has been for years, the last 2 years it's been their SEC schedule that has been even more laughable. If you think it means nothing you are kidding yourself.

The one thing they do have in their corner though is that they do beat the shit out of those inferior opponents. Business is handled.
  8. Re the scheduling -- it isn't whining when it's stating the truth. And the truth is it gives Bama an easier road than everyone else.
  9. If they beat us on the field it becomes irrelevant. We can't blame injuries or looking ahead. We lost with the better team last year due to coaching. If complaining about their schedule would change anything I would agree. But it doesn't. It sounds petty after awhile. If not from the start. Just win and leave the excuses for the losers.

  10. We know this. The sec knows this. Best them if they're unproven.
