Ann Arbor isn't the dumpster fire that's Austin right now but there is some unrest and unexpected attrition happening right now under Hoke. Of their "higher rated recruits," there are several actively looking to transfer and a few others seriously considering this due to feelings they were "misled in the recruiting process."
As much fun as it would be to watch the entire gump universe implode and become a sink hole of epic proportions if the tiny satan were to leave, I believe this is Jimmy Sexton doing his job and squeezing gump balls for $$$$$.
No problems here if that is the case. It's not like the University isn't getting the ROI. Still begs the question as to why he turned down more money at the last contract extension... I do find it questionable for some to assume the program would sink if he left. It's certainly possible with a bad hire (and odds are in favor of that at any school) but no one can deny the foundation for another coach to come in and win is firmly in place. Fans, who don't obsess over the program to the point of lunacy, will appreciate all that's been accomplished.
Inherited one... It's a good analogy with Austin though...too many people sticking their nose in a situation where they don't belong (see Hicks.)
