He owns the entire university plus half of the state. I just don't seem him giving up the immense power and control he has there.

You can use my name. Just don't make it a habit. Said Saban loves to fish and flies into 3 areas on a private strip: Cozumel Costa Rica and Toledo bend. And that UT was going to take care of it.

Gonna be crazy if this shit goes down. Im starting to almost think its possible.

Nick: What's Texas offering now, Jimmy?

Jimmy $exton: 10 years at $10 million/ year. You good to go?

Nick: Yes - but let's have a little fun with the Gumps 1st.

    October:
Nick: So they won't let go of the houndstooth, huh? Okay. MANDADTE:
If I see any fans leave the stadium before we win by 6 touchdowns I'm leaving!

Gumps: Okay, Master Saban! Look we even made signs for you:
"We'll stay for 60 if you'll stay forever!"

    Nick: Mmmmmmm that's perfect!

Robidoux87 You call that a double?

If I'm Saban, I'm thinking it would be a lot more fun to rebuild Texas than stay at a place where he's expected to win every game.

Think about it - he's never going to be the most beloved coach in Bama history, but he could go down as the guy who won it all at three schools. How cool is that?

Yeah, I think it will go down. Just watching him squirm during the interview aired yesterday, and trying to force a smile, and murmuring the words in the manner he did was all the convincing I needed. Funny enough, I was expecting to feel the opposite way when she first sat down to ask him - I thought he would be able to be more convincing publicly.

When someone posted UTs athletic numbers earlier, you could see easily how they could outbid anybody. 10mil does not seem farfetched at all when you look at the numbers they have to play with. I bet he's gern pecern.

    Contained Chaos Don't we all?

Part of me wants him to stay at bama so we can have the opportunity to beat his miserable ass every year.

The other part of me wants him to leave for no other reason than the inevitable biblical meltdown of the gumps. It'd be one thing if he left bama for the NFL or retirement, but it'd be something on another level altogether if he left for another university. Ohhh can you imagine the bruised egos?? That would bring a lot of joy to the universe, would it not?
