I have not seen ONE post that calls for Saban's head...not ONE post that says we need a new coach....and not ONE post that says I wish (insert name) was our coach instead of Saban. STOP PUTTING WORDS IN PEOPLES' MOUTH. Maybe I am ignorant, and if so I wanted someone to tell me why our team cannot tackle, why our team cannot block, why our DB's cannot cover guys and why we have 6 turnovers in the last 2 games. This is called a discussion, not a bashing. And before you start hyperventilating...I still think Saban in the best coach in America. :dis:
Remember something Coach Nick Saban said at the end of last year about last year's team having that something "special" in leadership. That something extra, that burn or want to in your gut and the spit in your eye. Coach Nick Saban can't make the players feel this. Sometimes it happens in back to back seasons but rarely. Best coaching in the world doesn't win an NC, but it helps. Best players in the world doesn't win an NC but it helps. it takes more than this, something almost intangible, undescrible. if you are missing any one of these things you can forget it. Last year we had it. We waited 45 years for it. Knowing the coaching staff and the talent that is up and coming at LSU. I think I can wait 3-5 years after waiting 45. Saban will keep us in striking distance for the most part. One - two games away from a shot. Thats all we are this year, two games out of the running. Might as well be 50 you say? maybe so but look at Ole MISS and other SEC schools. Coach Nick Saban is trying to keep LSU close to a Champinonship so that just in case that intangible quality appears, LSU will win and win big. Like last year. you could feel it. It was something that just gelled. Something you can't quite put words to. Even Luck is with you when you have that certain "something". We'll get there again. it might not be next year, but it will happen and it won't be 45 years from now. We're still the LSU fightin Tigers. Be proud and hold your head up high! And if you see any players, tell them how much you appreciate them wearing the Purple and Gold.
