Um, why? He's sitting in the middle of THEIR field after they just beat the #1 team in the nation...... I'm still trying to understand...Are you saying that's bad sportsmanship?
The errors made by Tolliver were both correctable errors. They were both big plays that went for nothing. He is probably the most talented WR on the team. If he had been given a lot of playing time vs MTSU and Tulane those mistakes would be behind him. He appears to be a difference maker.
Hats off to you guys for watching the game again, couldn't do it. My family didn't talk about the game all day yesterday.
Toliver played quite a bit against MTSU. Those are mistakes that freshmen make, and the only difference that Toliver made in this game was to put us in worse position than we started in. He's got the potential to be a positive difference maker, but unfortunately he just isn't there yet.
Flynn is holding on to the ball too long, but it is because he doesn't trust his receivers. He doesn't know where they are going to be so he has to watch them all the way through. Poor routes & poor catching are making Flynn look worse than he's actually playing.
Good post. :thumb: You could see the frustration in Matt's eyes. He was giving directions to receivers when they missed their routes after plays.
neither flynn nor the WRs get free passes on this one. they both had their share of poor plays. but im most disappointed in the lack of blitzes in the 2nd half. woodson looked bad when he was hit. im sure pelini has his reasons, but i dont get it. perhaps he was being conservative when LSU had a big lead, then when the lead was small jackson was out and he felt like he couldnt blitz. i wouldve blitzed eugene. im still pissed at the refs for calling the UK td and not calling the false start by tamme on the play he caught a td. hold on tight. this next game is gonna be tough---and its more important than the UK game.
