complete hogwash and ridiculous generalization as a whole. its akin to every team losing out of the dance thinking their team was less prepared and totally outcoached. if any of you people actually think LSU's teams, since smoke has taken over, have been less prepared than other teams then you really show utter ignorance. He has yet to field a team other's fear? More absolute ignorance. Its ok to say this team seems out of synch, less mentally prepared or whatever but when you say EVER referring to this program in reference to Smoke it shows you know absolutely nothing at all about LSU baseball or Smoke himself. But keep talking, it sounds good to the others looking for a beef and maybe they can reaffirm your idiocy along the way. Auburn fans unite, there's some new recruits in town.
Oh yes Mr. Tirk sir we are dominating the SEC and college baseball completely, who was I to express an opinion of what I see. If you think the current program is a pimple on the a$$ of the program under Skip then it is you sir that have no clue.JMHO
EVER is a little different than now. Not to mention the face of collegiate baseball is a little different but its obvious by your rational comments you already knew that. you can express an idiotic generalization all you wish yet it doesn't make it true. I never said or insinuated your lies above^^ its a bad attempt detract for your asinine comments. keep up the good work.
You must be smoking some really good stuff today to read so much into my very short post, but since you are such the expert how about answering a few questions great one that gifts us with his presence. "Much of the time his teams don't look prepared to play big time ball", so you are saying that LSU under Smoke looks well prepared all of the time? "Smoke is yet to field a team that other teams fear". What season did Smoke field a team that dominated and was feared by everyone because that one seems to have missed me. Yes LSU has had some quality teams that went far but have yet to finish. The team under Smoke also seems to have big problems playing fundamentally sound baseball and at times seems totally unmotivated. I hope Smoke turns it around like I said in my earlier post but LSU under Smoke has not been nearly the same. Spin it any way you like but none of what I said was lies like you charged it was simply my opinion. If you can't see the difference between LSU baseball before Smoke took over and since he has been the head man you need to change your bong water.
that makes no sense. I simply refuted false generalizations that you and a few others make for simple effect or simply due to lack of knowledge of the subject. You were called out on it and are wrong whether you care to admit it or not. Try quoting my opinions which are wrong. I pointed yours out quite clearly. I state nothing for dramatic effect. just because others have labeled you with such, dont try to pass it off on others. that's kinda weak.
Personally I believe that over the 41/2 years we've had a great baseball program but I am willing to admit we don't have the same program we had under Skip. But since Skip was the best baseball coach in America I also don't think anyone can come to LSU and match Skip's program's in the 90's, not even Skip. For all those that want Smoke gone who would you want to take his place? And offer up data that shows he would be a better candidate for the LSU job. As my boss use to say, like many others, be a part of the solution. Come up with the answer instead of bitching about the problem.
You won't find any of my posts calling for Smoke's head in fact I hope he gets the job done and stays forever, but I'm also not blind and can see there is much much room for improvement to say the least.
