I think the Pentagon leadership was following the direction of the incompetent Commander In Chief and his incompetent advisors.

 

With regard to the speed, yes, logistics no. And the woke General Milley is one of those.

People at the pentagon are responsible for planning, logistics and execution (nuts and bolts). Biden probably would have had to sign off on it or ignore it. If this is their plan they screwed it up. If Biden ignored it, he did.

 

I understand logistics. I spent 45 years (Air Force & working on Air Force contracts) in the logistics career field. Based on what I've read we gave the Afghan military everything they needed to defend their country with the exception of one thing. GUTS!!

 

Not exactly. We trained them to fight as we do. That means air support and logistics support. We pulled those rugs out from under them leaving them with little of what their training gave them
That is not to say they did a shit job of fighting when the time came.

 

When did we stop providing logistics & air support?
