it sucks that the espn types dont do their job, but as far as who is hte best SEC west team------nobody knows. its always that way. teams always change over the season for better or worse and the only way to tell is to have them play. as LSU fans are you gonna tell me that LSU would beat Auburn 10 of 10 times? since the LSU game, Auburn has killed Bama and beaten UGA, and LSU has squeaked by Bama and Hogs---seems reasonable for people to say Auburn is better. All the $hit about Auburn should have beaten LSU is stupid though. all this crap shouldnt matter, but it will until NC is decided by playoff (and im not talking about that and-1 bs)

Well if we want to use Auburns thinking we can say the best team in the West wasnt playing in the championship game last year.

I hate to say this but Tubberville is right.

ESPN has gotten so powerfull because of one thing. Money. They are on every cable network and have no competitor that is even close in the showing of college sports.

The SEC is on ESPN Football games more than any other conference i bet if you looked it up. Or close to it.

Herbstreet from Ohio St., Corso from Indiana, They have Big Ten ties.

Show me someone that says their impartial and i will either show you a liar or a person that doesnt know anything about what you are talking about or cares about it.

Ummm....dheadtiger, you do realize that 3 of the 6 posts you quoted are not Auburn fans, right? I hardly see where it supports you point that AU fans feel they have the "better" team.

I'm not trying to prove a point, just stating that I was reading these comments shortly before I saw this thread.

Christmas came early LSU fans for Auburn pretty much gave you the west by not making a freakin field goal. I like UGA a helluva alot better then LSU.

I like UGA better than LSU as well, but if UGA wins, and AU doesn't get the BCS bid, then we're going to the Outback bowl.

I will pull for the Dawgs! The other Tigers luck has to run out. I don't want them saying they got their 3rd SEC title in 5 years.

Auburn's offense is heads and tails better than LSU's right now. I chalk that up to 3 things...in decreasing order of significance:

    1) One person running the offense, instead of 2
    2) Better WR's
    3) Better RB's

However, our defense is better. That is why we were able to win the football game.

We will be able to stop Georgia. The only question is will we be able to score points.... :geauxtige

Carl Dubois' article was fantastic, I brought a copy home with me yesterday! I'm so sick and tired of the morons at ESPN dictating the way things are in the world of college football. Some of its hosts get on either TV or the radio and spout off about things they have not researched. Most are only half-truths and not the entire truth.
The SEC desperately needs Roy Kramer back. Mike Slive is okay but doesn't wield the power that Kramer did. The SEC is and has been getting bitch-slapped by the East Coast biased ESPN folks and others who listen to them. The SEC needs to regain its rightful place atop college football.
