I don't want to wait 4 years for our QB's to mature. Neither do you want to sit around for 2 more years and watch as our team sputters behind an ineffective QB. If they still need to mature, they need to do it in this offseason.

I would think that Early would be the only one that would get a chance to do it. And it would have to be an emergency situation....

We need a QB to step up big time next year. We will be heavy with seniors and have a favorable schedule again. No one wants to wait 4 years (ala Jason Cambell) for a QB to mature enough to have another shot at a NC. :dis:

The last QB to win the SEC as a Freshman was Tom Hodson, and he was a redshirt. RP may be a great player, and if he is I hope he comes to LSU. But to expect a Frosh to come in and take the job away from two experienced players, who were highly recruited, is too high an expectation.

Russell and Flynn will battle it out for playing time next year. Hopefully, one of them will lead us to Pasadena.

    Move Russell to safety.

    Why?

His mobility isn't that great. He has trouble reading defenses--he'd have to run them. And, we would be wasting his best asset--his very strong arm.

OBTW, we have some pretty good young guys there in Landry and J. Daniels.

Russell will be better at QB nest year. Let not your heart be troubled.
