Read an update on this story today. XC's dad 'clarified' his son's comments saying he thought his son would be fine as long as the new coach allowed him to run track unimpeded. We'll see, hopefully this is what he is concerned with - I'm sure no coach at LSU would prevent a touted prospect from running track considering our program.
I think this is precisely the scenerio we must avoid and avoid it quickly. By going through the hiring process dilligently, we need to locate our next coach as soon as it's rationally possible and let him speak to the team, and stop the bleeding from spreading.
