This guy and others like him should be shot on the scene, in the street after drawing a crowd and the police cam released for PPV so the funds can go to the families of the victims. Not necessarily a solution or even a deterrent cause these fuggers plan their death or it's potential in the attempt. But we gotta start pushing back as a society and not waiting for some asshole judge to...judge. And a purge.
Use of gun or facsimile thereof, in any crime, should be summary execution by arresting officer. If you are worried about not getting a trial, then worry about your friends and your action. This would not do much about terrorist that are intent on suicide, but would be quite effective against most anyone else.
