I am sure that it wouldn't. First of all, the guy is planning to commit mass murder and probably die himself. Wouldn't he ignore any laws that "limit the number of rounds in his magazines?"

Well. Ban all semi automatics, with forced confiscation. And death penalty for having one in your possession.

You asked. This would be highly effective.

But that raises other issues. Obviously.

I would suggest making much greater registration requirement for sem-automatics. Yes, this would NOT take semi autos out of the hands of criminals or nuts. But I’m just not willing to sit back and do nothing because it is hard or unpleasant.

 

Black market. Just as prohibition created moonshinners gun control will create illegal gun manufacturers.

 

I don’t plan on being the only one to give mine up.. but I would if it would prevent the next school shooting.

OBTW, two of my wife’s co workers have kids, in different schools, that are reacting to bomb threats as I tape. Pisses me off.

 

If you were the parent of the 17th killed, you might think otherwise. Surely you guys don’t think that a guy with 15 round magazines is as lethal as a guy with 5 round magazines.

 

The point is that a law could say it's illegal to have anything other that a single shot rifle but anybody bent on mass mayhem is going go ignore that law. I own several 30 round magazines. How would making mine illegal prevent somebody else from using their illegal magazines.

 

Totally against the constitution. USSC would tear that law up

 

What’s the alternative to taking action to curb gun violence? Seriously. Just do nothing? Really.
