Well that’s an unfair assessment. Some of us are just dirty bastards. But what the biggest problem in this country is, is the lack of accountability. It’s always someone else’s, or something else’s fault. This whole thread was started because of a piece of shit murderer. And here we are talking about guns. And I don’t just mean us, I am, of course, talking about America, as well.
Why couldn't he be legally expelled? Is that a Florida law? I know that one of my son's classmates was expelled about 2 weeks ago because he sent a letter to school saying he was going to bring guns. I know another kid expelled last year for "stalking" an ex-girlfriend. Schools have every legal right, expectation, and responsibility to remove students who don't adhere to Code of Conduct. Meh.... "Researchers from the University of Cambridge, Maastricht University, Hong Kong university and Stanford found that those who swear more are more likely to be honest people. The authors studied 276 people in a lab, the social interactions of 73,789 people on Facebook and measured the average profanity scores against the integrity index for each US state. Their study, which will be published in the Social Psychological and Personality Science journal, concluded “a consistent positive relationship between profanity and honesty; profanity was associated with less lying and deception at the individual level and with higher integrity at the society level” http://www.independent.co.uk/life-s...university-maastricht-hong-kong-a7512601.html Cussing can be situational and often nuanced. However, in this case, it's intentionally offensive.
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/article201216104.html Here's the article they could expell him but only for a few days then he would be back at another school.
Say what? "The armed deputy who was on the campus of Stoneman Douglas High School during a shooting rampage that left 17 dead on Feb. 14 stood outside the building where it occurred and did not go in to engage the shooter, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said on Thursday. Scott Peterson, who was the school resource officer at Stoneman Douglas, stood outside the building as the shootings took place, Israel told reporters. Peterson resigned from the department on Thursday after being told he would be suspended" https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/a...uring-shootings-sheriff/ar-BBJtrIA?li=BBnb7Kz
Correct. In Louisiana, kids cannot be "put out" of school. we have "Alternative schools." Shit, Special ed kids can only be suspended 10 days ALL year. Alternative placements for only 45 days. I know of an incident where a kid threw a chair at a teacher and was back in a week. Several where kids had drugs and were back in a couple.
As for teachers carrying, most people don't know it but Louisiana already has that law on the books. https://law.justia.com/codes/louisiana/2011/rs/title14/rs14-95-2/
The provision where a student acting under the direction of a school official means they could start an armed student defense club.
