I don't know a damn thing about guns. I never said I'd ban any of them. I just think it's funny that Republican lawmakers are so selective about when they choose to defend the freedom of the individual.

One of my favorite things is when a "family values" bozo gets caught with a hooker or cruising for gay sex at a rest stop.

 

Or when the assholes at the front of the #MeToo movement happen to be the biggest pervs of all. The CA legislature has been on full tilt since someone let the cat out of the bag. They are ALL hypocrites, it's not a party thing.

 

"Catherine O'Connor was reading through her grandson’s private journal last week when she saw something that made her stop and call 911. The 68-year-old from a suburb north of Seattle picked up the phone, dialed, and waited until the operator picked up.

"I'm finding journal entries from my grandson," she calmly reported last Tuesday morning. "He's planning to, um, have a mass shooting at one of the high schools."

O'Connor explained that her grandson, 18-year-old Joshua O’Connor, had written about flipping a coin to decide which of two local high schools he'd shoot up. The journal revealed that the target would be his current school, ACES, an alternative high school in Everett, Washington, that helps students with special learning needs....

“I need to get the biggest fatality number I possibly can," Joshua O'Connor wrote, according to court documents. "I need to make this count. I’ve been reviewing many mass shootings/bombings (and attempted bombings). I’m learning from past shooters/bombers’ mistakes, so I don’t make the same ones… I can't wait to blow all those fuckers away."

Within three hours after O’Connor’s grandmother called 911, police arrested him during class at the school he allegedly planned to attack. They confiscated a knife and a small amount of marijuana from him, and by Friday prosecutors had charged him with attempted first-degree murder with a firearm"

This is spooky... how did he show up as a "spokes person/interviewee" at two different sides of the US?

"On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI’s Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.

Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life. The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office, where appropriate investigative steps would have been taken.

We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said:

“We are still investigating the facts. I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public. It’s up to all Americans to be vigilant, and when members of the public contact us with concerns, we must act properly and quickly."

Really? Anyone doubting that this was just a "tragedy waiting to happen" instead of a likely outcome with a bigger consequence in the making?
