No but if you’re defending your home there are many better choices than a semi automatic. For instance a 12 gauge with 00 buckshot is much surer. Likewise a good pistol is better in close quarters. The home defense line is weak.

Tell you what sport the person who can take 5 rounds of 00 buckshot from my sawed off 12 gauge can have whatever he wants.

You have fallen into the libthink way of assigning arbitrary numbers and calling it reality, Who is to say what a person's choice of firearm is for any reason? It's not like - these guns are for hunting - these guns are for self-defense. Where did you pull the number five from? Out of your hat? Most hunting shotguns can hold 5 rounds. By law, at least in Louisiana as far as I know, you have to have a plug that limits the capacity to 3 rounds. I'm pretty sure that that statutory limitation for for reasons of conservation rather than to put limits on personal defensive shotguns. If' you only have 3 rounds it's harder to kill more ducks than the limit.

A good pistol is better in close quarters. Especially a semi automatic pistol.
