I'd like to be able to say "unbelievable", but it's you... so it really isn't. :dis:

I'm sure many share your opinion but I also believe there were thousands of military votes that weren't counted. That seems to be a recurring issue that happened last November as well.

Nothing scientific but I would think 75+% of military votes would be Republican.

like your idea of an independent company with no political ties to run every election. If our government can not run a simple election process then how are they not going to **** up government run health care? (guess that is another thread).

Each state as well as the federal government could put out bids for 8 year blocks of time to run and tally the votes. Do it on a cost plus basis and have an third party audit firm audit the procedure to ensure the technology and process meet the bid specs. Similar to the way the lotto system run.

As for your one vote majority rules scenario i do not agree with it. I think you would have certain states who’s interest are not properly represented. Politicians would hire statisticians to tell them who were important and who is not. For instance those that live in NYC would get more attention because of the bang for the buck than those that live in Montana (they all ready do get the shaft but if you went to your system no presidential campaign would ever stop in about 1/3rd or our states). This is the Untied States, each state should have a say in who the president is even if it is a small amount.

Our system is not perfect but it is the best form of representation in the world. The process in which we account for who is voting, cast that vote and then tally the votes should be state of the art.

Would you be so kind as to list your accomplishments so we can compare them with a stupid person's?

How about just your top 2? Just fill in the blanks:

Bush: 1. Governor of Texas 2. President of the United States.

    LaSalle: 1. ___________________ 2.__________________________

I think our system works. I just don't believe we're getting the best quality candidates and we usually vote for the lesser of two evils.

Special interest groups, big donors, lobbyists, and grass roots efforts (like ACORN) who are criminals under the guise of a legitimate organization...run this country.

When it comes to issues that most of us (left, middle, right) agree upon (like immigration reform), our "so-called" representatives ignore us if it doesn't personally benefit them.

You saw their vote regarding Health Care when someone asked if they would share the same reform as the rest of us. A resounding ABSOLUTELY NOT! They believe they're better than us and only care about you when it's time to count your vote.

who knows maybe i could have been president if my dad was george h w bush, maybe you could have too. dont forget he owned the rangers, and a few oil companies that went belly up before his daddy's saudi connections bought them out. I did have a higher grade point average than he did though, too bad my dad wasn't that connected. i like the whole oh you think you can do better thing, very 2nd grade of you. Let me guess, your dad can beat up my dad too?

Purple i don't endorse acorn, and i agree with you, i don't like the fact that these companies that control the way votes are tallied and registration etc. etc. are also campaign contributors. The people who did commit voting fraud should be punished, and i think being that ACORN had more than 1 person involved that more investigations should be done, and ACORN should have no involvment in any facet of elections until they are cleared.

I guess it's possible for a stupid man to be president if a man who has never held a real job and associated with anarchists and corrupt politicians his entire life can get elected.

Also, I have no ego. I'm just smart.

Finally, Bush would know how to spell extraordinaire.

Nope. You forget how many young soldiers dominate the services. Older vets and retirees lined up for McCain, but the soldiers on active duty, especially those serving abroad, lined up for Obama.

False. He has degrees from Yale and Columbia.

    False.

    President, Harvard Law Review, 1990-1991
Lecturer in Consitutional Law, Chicago Law School, 1992-2004
Lawyer, Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland law firm, 1993-2004
    Illinois Senator, 13th District, 1996-2004
    U.S. Senator, Illinois, 2005-2008
President of the United States of America 2009

He knew a former anarchist 25 years later while he was a Chicago university professor.

Republicans are so obsessed with Obama that they keep making up false charges that a child could shoot down . . . and they wonder why their credibility has bottomed out. :dis:
