havent read anyone defend ACORN here. i am asking for more information and lasalle said yes but the gop does it too.
thats not defending. thats admitting what those acorn members did was wrong but insufficient to scorn the entire group. need more info. kinda like hating the catholic church for what a small % of priests did. unwarranted. but once we knew that there were numerous coverups over generations then its fair to blame the church. come on SF, dont be a republican, be an american.
You could solve this "false" registration of people by requiring a government issue photo id proving who you are when you vote. If we require that people show a government issue photo id when they fly... when they drive... when they cash a check... why does it not make sense that every American of voting age to show a photo id when they vote? A simple machine with a magnetic reader at your precincts. You show your ID and swipe it and you can vote one time. All for spending our tax dollars on technology at voting precincts versus giving it to Acotn please stand up.
There seemed to have been some blow back after the Florida debacle that it was racist to require people to prove who they are when they vote.

I noticed you didn't mention black panthers at polling stations...or the lady in Chicago giving away cigarettes to get people to vote. You guys hate Bush so much that you'll never let go of the past. Bush won twice not because of cheating but due to the fact that the best the Democrats could do was Gore & Kerry. Did they really expect anybody to lose to two of the biggest political clowns this country has ever seen? Plain & simple...ACORN has a political agenda and will stop at nothing (including breaking any & every law) to promote their own form of government. These "redistribution of wealth" scumbags are using our tax dollars to promote their agenda. This needs to stop now! I agree you shouldn't paint an entire police department for one bad cop or blame an entire religion for a few bad apples...but this isn't an isolated incident. This group is out of control and should be cut off immediately from the budget. They sure in the hell shouldn't be counting a single person (or fabricated people) for the census.

Yes. and actually i think people should just be able to vote, and popular vote should be what counts, get rid of electoral votes, and delegates and super delegates and just have one voting system, by an independent company that cannot give campaign contributions. Purple i am sorry i wasn't aware of black panther groups or anything like that, and i don't think Bush stole an election, he isn't smart enough to steal an election, but i do think Katherine Harris and his brother did enough to confuse voters and then did a whole hell of alot to make sure thousands of gore votes were not counted.
