1. EYE.
Bless him as Bitter does not know what he speaks about.
  2. By your argument, then only Notre Dame is the only team that can legitimately "know how good they really are" because they don't play in a conference. How are we supposed to know if any team from any conference is really any good by your logic because most all of them play towards their conference strength and don't play more than 1 top 25 team out of conference. In fact, it would be unwise to do anything but that in the SEC because ligitimately every year, we can expect to face 4 to 5 teams in the top 25 just in our conference and possibly an extra in the SEC champ.
A good example is how texas played out of conference home and away vs. ohio state which was a greatly anticipated contest both years because of the rarity of the conference elites playing each other. You'll probably point out how USC plays alot of out of conference notables but then again the PAC-10 is definatly not as hearalded for it's strength from top to bottom admitably by any credible source.
Really the only way to even remotly argue what you are saying would be to judge from the bowls and the SEC is holding it's on at 5-3 and should hopefully improve after tonight. I just think that is an incredibly lame argument and I'm sick of people trying to use that as a trump card for the SEC argument when you can't show me more than a handful of teams out of the 117 that doesn't do exactly what the SEC conference does as a whole. It's a total non-issue. The fact that we are pre-season ranked in the Top 25 by national media types and rival coaches who use previous years and player profiles to predict who they think are worthy to be ranked has nothing to do with who we play once the season starts

Oh and don't forget Tennessee, who might not even finish in the top 25, destroyed CAL the 2nd team in the Pac-10 in the regular season. Georgia, who lost to kentucky this year beat Georgia Tech who almost beat Notre Dame.
But you know what you'll get your wish about LSU next year, we play Virginia Tech who should be preseason top 25 along with 4 or 5 of the sec obviously being ranked top 25. Guess why we couldn't play them sooner? they backed out on us 4 years ago ole Frank Beamer didn't wanna come down here back then.

  4. Maybe when ND was good but I don't remember ND being good since Lou
    Holtz left in 1993?
I think last year was an exception to the rule but just remember there are
exceptions to every rule and probably always will.

Come back when ND is better then you can also change your name to better ND?

Please tell us how well the Big Ten is and every other team you guys have
    played other than LSU!
USC is the only team that is probably close to the best SEC teams.
  5. Oh. My gosh. This is the craziest post I've ever read. If I could give this guy more red, I would.

  6. LSU could have brought their cheerleaders and won the game. There is no way you watched that game and came up with this excuse. If so, I need some of your drugs. Jesus man, we couldn't keep up with their 5th string receiver. Heck, I could have scored that guy was so open.
  7. LSU didn't, and we still pwnd your ass.

What you don't understand is that when SEC teams play each other, no matter what their ranking, they do the same thing. SEC games are brutal. Much more so than any non-SEC conference game I've ever been to. Have you ever been to an SEC game? If not, you have no idea what you're talking about. I've been to Notre Dame games, I've seen the difference between SEC conference play and ND regular season games first hand. Back in the late 80s/early 90s under Holtz, ND maybe could have held its own in the SEC. Today they'd be on par with, maybe, Vandy.

You really should go home and think about things, because you're embarassing yourself here. ND has a great history and great atmosphere, and usually I'm a fan of the team. But they just are not a top tier team, they were way over-hyped by the media this year, and no number of national titles and heismans in the past will change any of that.

    Oh, and by the way:

We do sometimes play non-sec teams. Do the numbers 41-14 ring any bells? I know a few Ohio State fans who will remember that same score for a long time to come.
  8. lmao .... yeah, you're right ...... nobody in the SEC ever "brings it" because we don't have any natural rivals, border wars, or traditions in the Southeastern Conference

  9.
Coming from a domers makes this even funnier.
  10. Yeah, the two most physical games I've ever seen were LSU-AU contests. The first, '88 in TS. I won't say it, but the final was 7-6, and I was part of it.(as a student spectator)

The second, this years brutal battle in the plains. Both teams were physically spent following that game, and the victors gave props to LSU for the hitting that went on in the game.

To say the SEC doesn't bring it every game is ludicrous, as is defending ND.:thumb:
