Both will be back if they want to be. If they aren't back, it'll be their own choice. Coach Saban wants them both.

Their penalty is sitting out the game and not taking part in any national championship hoopla -- that, and the public humiliation that they are facing.

Rumors were that Carey was transfering to a 1-AA school after the season anyway.

The problem with using Ben Wilkerson, 6'4", 290#s as the long snapper has nothing to do with whether or not he can handle the long snapping chore adequately, he can, but after the snap, the long snapper must sprint down the field and be in position to tackle the punt returner. Speed kills on special teams and you need a burner at the center position. It might also be a problem to use Wilkerson on the punt team and burn him out running wind sprints. That being said, Ben may handle the long snapping duties if Nick determines him to be the most viable option at that position. Wilkerson is an outstanding athlete and if called upon to do so, he will surely be up to the ask. :geaux:

Well, Matt'll have to keep those drives going ... so he doesn't have to run that far;)

I see you watched the halftime report during the Hawaii (hula) Bowl. That was the exact report that the black guy ( don't know his name) on ESPN gave. I hate to say it but he has a point. BIG PLAYS can turn momentum in a game. Lets just believe that we won't need to punt very often. Score often and any way possible. Especially on defense!:geaux:

    Nah.

Nah, my confidence level is way high. I was just making an educated statement about losing a starting player. Don't think Stoops doesn't take EVERYTHING into account. Just like Saban. I know the Tigers are going to run away with this game. We won't be flying below the national media's radar on Jan. 4th. We WILL bring our A-game!
