trust, respect....be responsible. work together. we have to all trust one another. no he didnt. this has all the makings of a great shakespeare tragedy.
Well he better get used to that, because if he doesn't win right away, the bama Alumni will have him in the Bear Bryant shrine, with a medium trying to get advice from the dead revered one. :dis:
He's not a complete idiot, he knew ND would have a hard time beating LSU. The timing, the press conference announcement on Wednesday and the comments from him on the day after....all staged and all executed. I certainly hope he doesn't think that it made him look good because I think it made him look like slime. If I had one wish for the new year it would be that Jamarcus would take all of this and use it to make a decision to stay another year just to make Saban pay. Imagine that, coming to Death Valley after the stunt that he's pulled. Priceless. If this doesn't show the world that he's all about himself, then nothing will. Of course Bama is glad to have him. If he stays long enough I'm sure he'll do well but it won't be for the state of Alabama, the university, the players or the fans. Once again, he'll do it only to make himself more marketable. Taking partial credit for the win that Les and those players had last night was totally classless. I'm sure one day all of his life will be scripted in a huge book deal, but if you've given away everything that you stand for, for the sake of your own gain then what do you really have? I, for one, am very proud that we have a coach who seems to have morals and standards. He seems loyal and shows a true interest in being a part of LSU for years to come.....it seems that LSU was the one who gained when Miles came here and Saban left. At the time no one thought so but, if it could be "scripted" again, we got the better end of the deal, not Saban, not Miami.
"Imagine that, coming to Death Valley after the stunt that he's pulled." Good post except JR would never get to play Saban in Death Valley even if he does stay. LSU Travels to Bama next year.
Excellent! I want Miles to hate him and take the game personally now. Perfect! I want the players to hate him and take the game personally next year. Mr. Saban, you just phucked with the wrong coon@$$es
This is like a freaking soap opera. How is it possible that you go from most beloved coach in LSU history (has to be one of the top choices), to perhaps the most hated. Wow. How much uglier can this be? I hope Auburn tears a new ******* into the Tide for years to come. :geauxtige
In the instant Nick Saban announced he was taking the new job, Alabama has become the total object of LSU hatred...and we're going to love whipping his ass every stinking year he's on that sideline. That SOB is going to try and raid the state for talent, so there indeed is a zero-sum relationship b/w Alabama and LSU. If Saban wins games, they'll come at the expense of LSU and mean LSU loses. As much as we've talked trash about Auburn, at least LSU and AU fans could coexist since both teams could (and are) usually good at the same time. He's bitten off more than he can chew this time, though. He's surrounded by strong programs, excellent coaches, stud recruiters---Richt, Tuberville, Miles. Where's he gonna get that talent? I'll be damned if it comes out of Louisiana...I hope LSU wins 10 in a row against that SOB.
