Don't matter which legs come in, in my opinion... Me, you, LSU's number 1, or number 5 running back, he is gonna get shut down by this D
And FYI, I am not saying that this is the END ALL advantage Alabama has, and this perfect formula for winning the game. Just as badly as I think Bama will shut down LSU's running game, I think LSU has the opportunity to shut down aspects of our offense with your defense. I also agree that we have to account for the rest of your offense, which is going to be tough.
That is because your logic is simpleton. BAMA is not as good as they appear on paper. Like I said, our highschool has better stats than bama, doesn't mean they could beat bama.
Right... It's purely simple mindedness to base arguments off stats... No one ever does that. Regardless, I have watched these teams play. It's not all about the stats for me... I know talent when I see it, and it surrounds this Alabama defense. I haven't seen a team all year who I thought could compete against them, except LSU.
I bet it would mean something if tappy could say that about bama. TigerFan90, only bama's stats mean something. Didn't you get the memo?
Quite right. Lack of yardage is not the reason either team will stop trying to run. Typical ground centric teams tend to have limited success in the first quarter (unless they outman the D totally) and by continuing to run wear the other D down so sucess is apparent first at the end of the half then more so in the 4th qtr. I can't see either going one dimensional. A pass happy O is a state of mind. One does it when they are desperate and feel the game getting out of hand. BTW it is not the same thing to have play action passes called to take advantage of defensive adjustments. The score and time not production will dictate which team goes one dimensional if either do.
If either team has a hard time running, I pick the other to win. On an even playing field I would say Lee is the QB that has the ability to win a game with his arm, but McCarron is a much better player at home so it's closer to a tossup. And if either of these QB's has to stricly rely on passing against either of these D's, that could get ugly.
