What are you talking about? My post said that Bama has not played a top offense like Oregon or WV. These are two teams LSU has played and that is a provable fact. How you think Bama would have done against them is just your opinion. Playing a mediocre offense like Ark at home in Tusc without their top running back is not exactly proof that Bama's DB's are lock down corners.
You're dreaming. Give us some examples of Bama's depth. As already mentioned in this thread LSU plays... 8 or 9 players regularly on the dline at least 7 in the defensive backfield 5 running backs 2 QBs 8 offensive linemen These are not scrubs that come in late in blowouts... these players have all gotten significant minutes in the heart of games.
Agree to disagree then... That run game is going to get SHUT down... I will say though, that I am worried about Jefferson.
When the clock says 00:00, which would you rather have....more points or more yards? Just sayin... :geaux:
Woooooaaaaa Tappy .... Wingo ... a big brusing back???? Look dude .. I live in AR, am by default a hogs fan, second behind LSU .... and I'm here to tell you .. shutting down Wingo is no feat at all. In fact, D Johnson is replacing him. Dennis is starting to rediscover his feet after missing last year with the intestine thing. Wingo has been one of the biggest disappointments for AR. He's more speed than he is power. Poor ol AR is just RB poor. They Wingo, who's been pathetic. They have B. Green, who runs up to the line and falls down. D Johnson is their only hope, and he didn't play much against you guys. Now .. Demps and Rainey .... "speed backs" .. this is equivalent to what we did to LaMichael James .. another "speed back". Speed backs just don't do well against great defenses. Period, end of story. Neither Bama nor LSU has seen the type of running game they are about to face in each other. Tough, up the middle, power backs running behind big physical offensive lines. Dude .. we at least acknowledge that Bama is going to run the ball, they will get some yards. They will probably get more rushing yards than LSU because of T.R.s uncanny ability to gain yards after the line of scrimmage [as previously discussed]. But I don't think I would be to cocky about holding LSU's run game to nothing. You can bet Saban is not thinking .. "we don't need to worry about thier run, we are just that damn good, now lets figure out how to win the game". The difference between Bama's and LSU's run games, is that LSU's run game is the constant underlying noise, that is overshadowed by the bigger plays through the air. It's never huge, it's never flashy, it'll never make those "highlights" like Bama's does. Bama's run game IS the show. How many more times will we have to watch that same ballerina move TR put on Ol Piss. Ya'lls run game produces "Hiesman moments" .. those long flashy, "look at him go" type runs. LSU's just carves out small chunks at a time. It may take them 10 minutes to get down the field ..but get down the field they do.
You're worried about Jefferson and not about that crew of running backs behind our blockers? :insane:
Ok... That is enough thinking for now for me lol... FYI... THIS IS GREAT! I'll be back on a bit later, I have to go live my life for a minute or two. P.S. If any Alabama fans want to jump in on any of this and help out it would be NICE!
