    1. it doesnt matter to me if you are a democrat or republican, if the best scandal you can come up with is soliciting bjs from homos in a couple bathrooms, then i am pleased. better than that misappropriate a billion dollars or something else really terrible that actually hurts the country.

    2. again, you seem to be hung up only on what is legal or illegal. in my mind, looking for a little covert homo action is a pretty minor offense, on par with jaywalking. give the guy a ticket and forget it. i am sure he is embarassed beyond comprehension already.

I mean on a philisophical level, not what the person is officially registered as.

Libertarianism is similar to Barry Goldwater Conservatism which spawned Reagan Republicanism which is the ideal for the Republican Party.

OK, give us an example of a democrat in Congress arrested for soliticiting gay sex and it being labeled "the norm". Just one.

It's been nothing but gay republicans lately. The reason that the outrage is greater is that democrats are more tolerent of homosexuals. The republicans are not only intolerent, some of them, like the current scandaleer, have been strident gay-bashers for years. The hypocracy stands out like a sore thumb.

So if you can forgive this illegal solititation for gay sex in a public bathroom, I presume you must feel the same about Bill Clinton getting a perfectly legal blowjob in a private office?

You are a self proclaimed moderate yet you consistently bash Rebublicans and defend Democrats. Just sayin'

By the way, a fag is a fag is a fag, but a murderer (Kennedy/Kopechne) should never be tolerated.

I never said a "democrat in congress".

That being the case, how bout that NJ Gov who had to resign because he was soliciting BJ's in rest stops? Wasn't he a dem? There is "just one" example. The entire thing pretty much died off with little fanfare.

Dems are far more tolerant of deviant sex. They think its quite natural for men to bed down with other men so getting a quickie in a rest stop or bathroom barely raises their eye brows.

Dems misbehaving in the bathroom = ho hum
Repub's doing the same thing = Scandal

    Its GAME DAY! GEAUX.........TIGERS! :thumb:

I'm a registered independent. There are damn few independents to support. It changes from time to time, but at present, the democrats are closer to the center than the republicans. Sitting republicans backed Bush 43's failed policies all the way and are on my chitlist for a while.

And I don't bash all republicans, I voted for Jindal, Bush 41 and Reagan, among other moderate republicans. And I don't support all democrats, either. Democratic extremists like Kennedy and Barny Frank are nothing to me.

Mainly, though I was just challenging someone who made a blanket statement to prove it because I dont think he can. ANY congressman who gets caught in a scandal gets bad press. Nobody can prove that it is "the norm" for democrats to get a free pass.

    Barney Frank

He may not have been arrested, but he should have been.

That's your proof? You don't know his name or whether he is a democrat but suggest he was giving BJ's in a rest stop?

OK, let me do your research for you. Governor McGreevy of New Jersey was a democrat, but he resigned after declaring himself gay and admitting to having an affair with a gay man. Nothing illegal, no truck stop bathroom BJ's, no arrest. You made it up. LINK

You just state whatever is on the top of your head as if it were a fact. Go ahead, find us some evidence of this. Show me any democratic politician, especially a congressman, who says that. Or even a media article that suggests this. Good luck.

No arrest, no evidence, you have no case.

There is a scandal anytime a politician is arrested. There was even a scandal about the NJ governor's voluntary admission that he was gay and it involved no arrest for solititation.
