Are you Jarrett Lee's dad? Because I don't see anything that he has done to earn the job no matter who the OC is and I'm not a JL basher.

You mean like, throwing the ball on rhythm...not taking a sack....being able to hit a receiver deep....that type of stuff?

    J. Lee got a bum rap from the idiotic LSU fanbase....the offense actually was able to move the ball with him at QB.

This is the first thing that came to mind when i read this. It's kind of like a cook at Chili's critiquing a 4 star chef. But then again, Miles' faults and this coaching staff's faults are pretty glaring.

You mean like the way he really moved the ball last year against a powerhouse La Tech team? JL has had numerous opportunities, and the LSU fan base didn't create his enormous confidence problems. It's the coaches' job in general, and Gary Crowton's in particular, to help him regain his poise and confidence on the field, and that has failed to materialize.

Really? How bout that LA Tech game last season? And the remainder of the Alabama game. If Jarrett Lee really wanted to be a starting quarterback in the SEC, he had his chance. In fact, if he would have shown something in those 2 games, he probably would have had a chance to finish off the season and probably be the starter coming into this year. In my opinion, out of the 2 Jordan Jefferson gives us the best chance of winning. Now should Jefferson feel that Lee could take his job away at any given time. Hell Yes. Nothing wrong with the guy behind you breathing down your neck for you job.

Name a QB that Crowton has developed at LSU?

    Nope, I'm not his Dad.....

I did see him play in High School. One of the better QB's to come out of the state that year.

Lee could be and should be a better QB at this time. His trial by fire was unfair, but life is that way. However, it was embarrassing the way fans in the stands treated him because even though he did not do well, crowton sure did not help him out either.

But....I felt certain before the La tech game he would step up and make a better showing against a fairly weak team. He looked worse than the year before. Granted the Oline/running game didn't help any more than they did JJ, but it didn't matter. His throws were just flat out awful.

To the OP, the coach sounded reasonable in his assessment of Miles and his practice. IMO the spring game was a reflection of the perceived confusion of identity of the offense. There has to be fire and direction on Offense in order for them to excel. We will know within the first 3 games which way we are going. Hopefully the concerns about practice prove to be unfounded.
