A News story you won't get from the mainstream media

For what it's worth, continuously getting praise and recognition for your time served in the military gets to be a burden at some point. One will never turn it down, but depending on each individual's situation or events that occurred while they were in, it can get to be a bit too much.

 

The point of the original post and, I believe, the author's point was that there are stories out there that deserve a little attention from the media and don't make the cut, yet seemingly everyday trivial nonsense gets days of attention.

Since the object of the post was a war hero, the libs immediately took offense.

Remarking about the sad state of our nations news interests is taking offense to a thread about a war hero? All I did was negate your assertion that he was a forgotten hero. Over 30,000 google hits on him. That is not insignificant. I guess that tainted your high horse from the get go, so then you resort to your usual blabbering and accusations about "liberals".

Here, let me stress the relevant parts of my post that supposedly took offense to your tribute to a war hero.
