1. If you throw the ball 59 times you should get 300 yards......he also had 0 passing td's.......in 59 attempts, not to mention he only averaged .62 yards per carry, for a GREAT running qb,but you shouldn't have 3 int's!
  2. JM's athletic ability really impressed me. His passing, not as much. To be fair, one of his passes bounced off his receiver's hands and fell to the LSU defense like a day-old helium balloon. However, when he tried to pass the ball left-handed and should have been picked by Eric Reid, that was downright (Jordan) Jeffersonian.
  3. It's been established that a quarterback that throws the ball 56 times against us can put up yards because LSU concedes the dink and dunk passing. That's why we don't get beat on long balls.
  4. All I'm saying is that he's better than Mett, as a true Freshman. Against Florida is the best example:

Johnny M - 23/30 for 173 with no TDs or INTs, 60 yards rushing
Zach M - 11/25 for 158 with no TDs and 1 INT, -19 yards rushing

Neither set the world on fire against the Gaytors, but Johnny M gave his team a better chance of winning. You give the aggies our defense, and they are undefeated... and the main difference is their QB play.
  5. Basically a push in my opinion. Does that mean you think Florida's D is better than ours? I mean they gave up less yards to Manzero than we did.... See how that works?
  6. Exactly. It's all about the scoreboard and the trophy case, not the stat sheet. If you want to compare him to somebody compare him to another loser to LSU, not a QB that beat us.
    Geno Smith 38-65 for 463 yds 2 Tds 2 ints 0 sacks > Johnny Manziel for 29-56 for 276 yds 0 Tds 3 ints 3 sacks.
  7. A minor point, but isn't Manziel a redshirt freshman?
  8. Yes.
  9. Does anyone else think that everyone is mispronouncing his last name? It seems like it should be "man-zeal" since there is an "i" between the z & the e.
  10. I'd like to see what Musberger would do with it.
