What's your logic for Okie State? Not enough TV sets in Oklahoma.

Just my opinion but I think it's all a moot point. I think A&M is just flirting to get concessions. Nobody going anywhere.

:geaux: Just my two cents worth. If aTm does come to the SEC and becomes part of the West, I'd like to see Va. Tech join and balance things out in the SEC East. They'd be a good fit, IMO. Just don't see any of the other traditional ACC teams (NC, NC St., UVA, Clemson) bolting to the SEC, although these days you can never say never. Also, if the SEC picks up another Big 12 team in addition to aTm, you have to ship somebody like Auburn to the East. Not impossible, but I'd rather see a team added to the east to balance out aTm in the west. Again, just my two cents. :LSU231:

AggieYell the Rivals site is reporting this morning that TAMU has "cast its lot with the Southeastern Conference."

i agree that the sec doesnt need anyone else, and i detest this whole idea of super conferences. and i havent talked to any lsu fan who likes the idea of expanding the conference.

but the powers dont view anything more than the $$$$$, as you said, and if they can make a killin by doing this, it's gonna happen.

i think one thing to look at is, apparently, the tv contract the sec has is only good for the sec as it currently stands. if the sec adds teams, then the tv contract has to be re-negotiated. given the contract the pac-whatever got that is so much more, you know good and well slive is looking at how to get a bigger contract.

:geaux: It could happen. I would think WVU would rather be in the ACC than the Big East anyway. Definite step up in all respects, IMO. Would benefit the ACC as well. :thumb: :LSU231:

I think you're wrong about the other schools not allowing it. All of these schools fan bases are already polarized. I don't think having any of them in the SEC would take away from the other schools fan base or recruiting. Especially with GT.

I'm backing away from the ledge now, I haven't looked into it a lot, at all actually but from what I've heard here in Big whatever it is now is ; atm will "vote" on Aug 22 to see if they want to move to the SEC. Apparently that doesn't mean they are moving just that they want to. I've not heard or read anything from Slive or the SEC asking them to come on up. I am moving back to my "atm can "want" to be in SEC all day, we have to "want" them as well. I think this is all a dog and pony show to get under the skin of those fags in austin. Sad thing is I don't think the fags in austin give two sh1ts about what the maggies do.

No way this happens. At least not IMO. I think Okie light and the sooners are a package deal and ONLY if the shorthorns go INDY. OU will follow texas if they move to another conference and ok st and atm will follow big brother wherever they go. If tx goes indipendant well then that ship sinks because the other schools aren't in a position to do that. I think OU/Ok st to SEC IF tx goes indy.
