Your way may make sense, but it's not the way the BCS Standings are actually calculated for official purposes. If you don't have any human votes, and you aren't 25 or higher in at least 2 computers, you don't exist.

Here are the official rankings from ESPN's website:
    http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/abcsports/BCSStandings

Syracuse currently has 11 points in the AP and 1 in the Coaches, so even if Pitt falls completely out of the 'Others receiveing votes' category in both polls, Syracuse isn't likely to lose their votes.

My BCS Standings page calculates it as the official rankings calculate it for all teams that have anything that qualifies them to be listed if you want to take a look at that list.

It's their moral imperative that they exercise such a clause.

As much as I despise Texas, they deserve to go under this scenario. I am absolutely dreading a Pitt/Utah match, but would be very intrigued by a Texas/Utah match up.

Regardless of my blasting of Texas the last couple of days, of course, I do not believe that any of the Big East teams deserve that automatic bid. And I doubt the BCS wants it, either, because the Fiesta Bowl is gonna blow.

Yeah, teams (usc) and groups (ap) have a hard time understanding a contract that is agreed to before a season starts......... :dis:
