Illinois is not even close to the level of coaching we will face with Ferentz. this will probably be a hard fought, very low scoring game.
And we had a QB that could get the ball to those guys with speed. Also, Illinois offensive speed kind of drove our D nuts too, just not as much as our O did to their D. One other thing, the Gator fans told the hawkeye fans all about how UF's speed was going to destroy the Hawkeyes in the Outback, but guess who did the destroying? This LSU team will beat Iowa with a bruising Big Ten kind of attack, not with speed.
If Randall has a game like he did against Arky, it will be one-sided. Now if the turnovers rear their ugly head it's anybodys game. We can come back from adversity (see Florida) but I just hope it doesn't come to that. Maybe the Randell we've been looking for all year is here for at least one more game.
I feel good about winning any time that Nick Saban has a month to prepare for a team. A lot of people doubted this time last year if we'd be able to beat OU.
I think one of our greatest strengths will be if Randall is out there. With his ability to run, I don't think Iowa could stop him if he gets started. It's just getting him started is the problem.
