A genuine question for the unwavering Miles/Crowton supporters

This is just a minor point, dude, but I am not a dude.

 

People need to just get over Saban. Yes, he was our coach. He left of his own volition. If you think he is the reason we are back as national contenders, then that's great, thanks Nick, but you didn't want to be here so enjoy your time in Alabama. You can argue for/against Les Miles, but there is absolutely no reason to put Saban into the context because he has absolutely no bearings on the situation as there is zero chance he is coming back here.

It is 2010 and Nick Saban has been gone since the end of 2004. GET OVER IT.

 

Had Ryan Perrilloux been our QB this year, we would not have lost a game. Technically, yes, I am speculating, but not blindly. I've seen him play enough to know.

I finally get it, I finally see where they are coming from. I get what the naysayers are talking about when they think that we are headed down the path to mediocrity. They are comparing Miles and his LSU to Saban and Meyer, and the success they have had over the past couple of years. A fair comparison, but do they really think that Bama and UF will continue to have undefeated seasons, do they think that the traditional powerhouses will continue to be down, do they think that they will have a difference maker like Tebow. My answer is no to all of these questions.

Whether anyone likes it or not, wants to hear it or not, these perfect storm pieces to the puzzle will not always be there for Bama and UF. The UGA's, LSU's, UT's and others will be back. The Tebows are gone, and they are a once in a life time player. Yes, I know that Bama doesn't have that player, but the other factors do apply.

As much as they say the W/L record isn't a ultimate factor, the bottom line is yes it is. If mediocrity is a 9-10 win season with an occasional slip to worse, and an occasional run at better to an SECC or a MNC, then be prepared because that is what we will have. If that is what we have then also they need to accept that Miles will be the most winning coach in LSU history and be considered one of the best coaches in college football. If he continues to keep LSU at that level he will have his job as long as he wants it.

Yes, I am just as disappointed as anyone about the way our season went and the way it ended, but the truth of the matter is that most college fans would be ecstatic to have our record and our overall record under Miles. Did Saban do a lot for putting us back on the map, you bet he did. Was Saban a better coach at LSU or at getting the best players for LSU, well the proof isn't there to support that theory. His teams lost more and were just as penalized as Miles's teams. Now, all of this said, should Miles let our program slip any further or not have us in contention for championships then his days will be and should be numbered.

Does Miles have some work to do, of course he does. Can Miles get it done, I believe he can. With the talent that we have, and the coaching changes that have been made, I see the Tigers being at the top next season. Making a run for the MNC and taking an SECC. The past history of Miles has proven that this is what he expects and what he will be able to achieve.

 

See, i tend to think that LSU had everything to do with .................'s success. Had he not come here, he damn sure wouldn't have been coveted by the Gumps, he wouldn't have a national title or SEC title, and would probably be coaching in the Big 10 or Big Least. So maybe ................ should thank LSU for catapulting his career, and maybe we should be worrying about 2010 and the future, instead of harping on the ghosts of football past. If you are an LSU fan you are starting to sound alot like a Gump, living in the past.
